Pseudomonas aeruginosa Community Annotation
Project Mandate
The mandate of this project and its committee will be to
(1) Improve the quality of the sequence annotation through
-
Analysis of open reading frames identified in the Pseudomonas
Genome Project
-
Curation of the annotation based on recent peer-reviewed reports of new
gene analyses
-
Curation of the annotation based on peer-reviewed submissions of annotation
updates by PseudoCAP participants
-
Expansion of the versatility of the Pseudomonas Genome Project's P.
aeruginosa genome database, through improvements in database query
flexibility, and further integration of links to other internet-based genome
analysis resources.
(2) Promote the development of widely available genetic tools for
the analysis of P. aeruginosa genes
(3) Maintain a publicly accessible web site with information including
that mentioned above, that forms a centralized repository for genome annotation
updates
(4) Solicit the assistance from
Pseudomonas aeruginosa
scientists with special expertise particularly, in functional analyses
of a given sets of genes, to improve the analysis and the PseudoCAP project's
function.
(5) To provide updates by email to PseudoCAP participants regarding
new versions of the genome annotation and progress made in fulfilling the
PseudoCAP mandate.
The initial proposal for this committee's mandate, and a solicitation
of statements of interest for participation, is still available in our
archive.
